Made To Order

Okie Pokie and Noodee Menu Design & Flow

When working with clients, we always start our relationship with marketing since that is my forte. Eventually, the relationship grows and I feel confident stepping outside the marketing bubble. For Okie Pokie and Noodee, I worked with Michelle to make their menu not only look good, but also function more effectively. Below you can see the minimalistic and clean design I created for their menu, but the problem was larger than creating a quickly digestible and order-oriented menu layout.

Okie Pokie and Noodee Menus

Creating the menu was step one to developing a better flow at Okie Pokie and Noodee. They needed a menu with a walkthrough of “Build Your Own Bowl” items that were in an order that optimized bowl-building speed. On top of that, we wanted to offer a clean read and a smaller menu size for portability.

The secondary goal of creating a new menu was to speed up the decision time it would take for guests once they approach the order counter. Being able to give guests a a menu as soon as they queue up helps eliminate a lot of decision time so Okie Pokie and Noodee can focus on doing what they do best, making delicious poké and noodle bowls!

Mexico City - The Adventures of Chris Cox

Artwork For Every Occasion

Those of you who know me well know I'm no stranger to graphic design. I like to spend my time creating doodles, logos, and crazy ideas like a travel poster series! I often start the process by sketching out the loose idea in my head and it starts to slowly evolve after research, inspiration, and almost always soliciting input from others.

The Chris Cox & Edgar visit Mexico City

I've always enjoyed my visits to Mexico. I boast that I can speak fluent Spanish when I'm drunk — it's half true. Day of the Dead has always been one of the most imaginative festivals to me.  After seeing "Spectre" & "Coco" they really sent me over the top and I knew I needed to book a trip and experience it for myself! I'm lucky to be joined by my friend Edgar who I have known since grade school. Edgar hails from Oaxaca - which, wildly enough, Childish Gambino name-drops in "This Is America." I'm excited to explore a new city and a new culture at such a unique celebration.

At Out Of This World Marketing, we have several graphic designers, including myself! So don't just consider us in terms of digital marketing and website design but think of it as a one-stop-shop for any design from logos to comic book style travel posters. We'll help you with any art piece no matter how large or small.

Creating PAWsitivity

What happens when you combine Poké with Dogs?

Our team got to combine efforts with Okie Pokie on their new recurring event: Poké  & Paws. Out Of This World Marketing helped flesh out the entire event concept, lock down logistics, brainstorm custom giveaways, create digital assets and posters, and host a mini photo shoot with some mini dogs. We're huge animal lovers, just ask Lindsey's pug mix, Sugar, on her doggy Instagram!

Okie Pokie is bringing the pup-love to the event with adoptions, thanks to The Underdogs Rescue Foundation.

Poke and Paws On The Patio

Working with models is always a blast. That is, until they decide they are done working with you. So how do you capture the perfect smiling dog shot? BURST MODE, lots of snapping and dog calls, treat bribes, meltdowns, and the occasional chasing down of models gone rogue.

In summation, if you need some creative event ideas or just the execution of your own ideas, our team is here to help. Woof!
